MHIS received an email and we are posting the details here:
This is from the NYC online Deaf News:
April 3- DEAF ACTORS in Law & Order: Criminal Intent
After much rumor and anticipation - NBC has made it official!
Law & Order: Criminal Intent is featuring an episode on April 3rd, 9pm, called "The Silencer", starring a talent-heavy cast of Deaf actors, including:
Deanne Bray
Alexandria Wailes
Garrett Zuercher
Darren Frazier (from Oregon!)
Hillary Baack
Willy Conley
Raymond Luczak
Adding to the excitement, NBC broke history by hiring the Deaf extras (35 people) for a network TV episode. Please tune in to your local NBC provider on Tuesday, April 3rd at 9pm to watch the exciting bullet-ridden drama unfold! Also, if you plan to watch this episode with a group of friends, please, please, please turn your TV on, or record the episode so the Nielsen ratings go through the roof! Then more Deaf actors will be asked back to work! Support your friends! Support your acting community!"
Hope you can pass around so many watch this, and thanks,

Is the Mid Hudson Valley "Deaf Friendly"?
The results of our first poll are in; thanks to the 10 people who participated! Three feel the Mid Hudson Valley is definitely 'deaf friendly', three feel it is somewhat so, and four feel it is a little friendly. There is obviously room for improvement to make our area 'deaf friendly' to all.
What makes a town 'deaf friendly'? What could be done to make the Mid Hudson Valley more 'deaf friendly'?
We'd love to see what you have to say.
If you want to tape a signed answer for posting, you may do so by posting a video at YouTube and sending us the link. If you want to post a signed response and don't have a camcorder, please make an appointment to see someone at MHIS.
